Thierry Small - Everton missed a trick

My first post but this has really wound me up and wanted to vent.

I use Newsnow as an Everton transfer aggregator and when you use something like that you get a picture of how the media is used by clubs/agents etc to manipulate precepetion - take the Thierry Small situation, it's clear that Raffa comments about defenders like Holgate, Braithwaite being to young which we all know is complete bull, yet it gets traction and before you know it mainstream media has picked it up. Clearly these comments are designed to hinder our efforts with emerging talent, particaulry with Thierry Small this is not helped by Jude Bellingham smashing it in the Champions League.

But I think Everton have missed the chance of signing one of the best England Talents

I don't think any if our players are learning what the new manager wants via news websites. In all liklihood they might just have some one to one interaction with the man himself - unlike the news websites, whose modern roll is to imagine up clickbait for ad revenue rather than leave their soft over-padded behinds and do any actual investigative journalism.
