2025/26 Thierno Barry

It was a great save. First time we've really see him power past a player and get a decent shot away.
didnt see the game or highlights but this sounds encouraging, for his size this is what disappoints me the most … not powering past or getting a shot away. So we can tick of ‘finishing’ he showed he can do it against Forest and now powering past and getting a shot away … taken a lot of games to get to this point 😂

Yep. And his highlights reel is equally sparse in terms of ever showing those attributes in the past.

100% mate. Didn't really do much else but this was the one bit of quality we simply haven't seen from him. Took the pass, got it out of his feet, powered past the defender and it was a fantastic save to get down so low to his left. No one following up unfortunately for a simple tap in. Would have been better trying Barry and Beto as a 2 together instead of bringing Rohl on yesterday.

I think Barry will get the nod against Forest for the simple reason he scored against them a few weeks back, so that'll still be fresh in Moyes' mind i reckon.

Was a nice piece of play by Barry, and for me illustrates the naivety of people writing him off, saying championship player etc etc.

In my opinion we've barely been able to see what he can actually do yet. That yesterday was the first time he's had the opportunity to show that particular move, and it goes to show that he has a bit more about him than people are giving him credit for.

Should absolutely keep the starting place until we sign another striker. For me he is pretty comfortably clear of Beto.

Watching how much more useful a striker DCL looks when there’s someone playing up top with, or just off him makes me feel for this lad all the more. Wins the most aerial duels in the league and there’s never anyone there to profit off them. When Illy is back from AFCON I’d love us to reintegrate him as a second striker.

I know we won’t, but I’d love us to.

The more I've watched us this season, the more I think the biggest change we could make to this team (barring new fullbacks obviously) would be to have a real quality, dangerous player playing behind the striker.

If Dibling can show that he can be trusted to play on the right hand side, i would really love to see Ndiaye be given a proper go at playing there.

Looks even more useful now.

Ndiaye has never impressed me in the middle honestly but Dibling means an attacking three of Ndiaye, Grealish and Dibling who can drift and swap at will really
