2025/26 Thierno Barry

Watching Everton has inspired me to write a Hollywood movie script. Will Ferrell and Daniel Day Lewis play Beto and Barry in My Left Foot 2 - My Two Left Feet. This time they both miss the penalty and continue to be disowned.

Feel for him but needs to just take a shot. Got the ball caught underneath him after creating space for himself outside the box.

Make your own luck if you're not getting service. Beto too for that matter, last season he'd be driving into the box to shoot instead of checking back. Just go for it ffs.

Got to stop losing your footing everytime you get anywhere near the box.

He really did have some nice one touch link up play moments, but he just doesn't look in any way, shape or form like a striker who is going to score. He seems to completely panic as soon as he's in and around the 18yd box. The header which led to his goal was absolutely abysmal, body shape wrong, head wrong, eyes closed.

I said the same in the match day thread. Some ok bits in build up play, but once he’s inside the opposition pen area he’s just so bad. Always falls over or awful control.

Imagine having hopes of European football without having 1 forward who can scores goals.

Wouldn't have faith that he'd even tuck a 1v1 away with a clear run on goal as he just looks like he'd tangle himself up in knots.

We have serious issues up top that's for sure.

Thought he showed some nice touches against Utd. I have to ask tho who was it who recommended and pushed for this lad to sign because we have desperately needed quick thinking, end product players for the centre forward position for at least three years and for some reason we seem to be recruiting the opposite and it’s marketed as projects/one for the future or a “they will have to do” kind of players in Broja and Beto.

I would love to sit in on the recruitment process for a few days just to witness the process.

So much good faith from the fans hoping he'll come good, but he's miles away from what we need. Lad at work who supports Newcastle doesn't rate their new striker - he's absolutely miles ahead of Barry.
Your lad at work is an idiot.

Barry played well for 25 minutes, just like the rest of the squad.
