No way was Barry bought with the future in mind. Moyes was starting him in from the 2nd game. The fact our main striker is without a goal in December sums our problems up.

I sincerely doubt he’s on £150k a week and has been available for way more than 25% of games so far, so I don’t understand that point tbh.

According to a West Ham fan, Wilson has a £95k appearance bonus in his contract because he's on a relatively low basic wage by Prem standards. Whether that is accurate or not who knows, but aside from the fact he might not have even wanted to come here, never in a million years were we going to throw big money at an injury-prone striker in his 30s.
