Man... I swear some people on here just post random stuff, lad didn't do much wrong today and gets called Bambi on ice and all sorts. Some of you truly deserve this club.

He's just turned 23 and had his 4th start.

I posted when we signed him that I thought he and some of the other signings wouldnt be properly judged until December onwards.

Lets see how he does.

The better metric seems to be that his link up play is better than Betos.

He scored 11 in La Liga. Hes 23. He's not a boy like Dibling. Hes not inexperienced.

Im all for him adjusting and taking time to fit into the league, i just don't see any THING with him. The price just makes that stand out.

Blues bought in to years of Red***** nonsense and it's stuck, unfortunately. I'm forever suspicious of constantly negative blues, apart from Dave.

Worked harder than previous maybe cos of a kick up the backside from Moyes. But ability and a faster brain is needed for the Prem. He has'nt got either.

We came 4th that season Marcus Bent ran his legs off with little support upfront !

If Barry is to be the new Marcus Bent, thats fine. We didn't have to spend £30mill for that type (which is what i said before).

I think we want Barry to basically be what he already is but with more goals

He works hard, holds it up decently and gets in good positions

He just can’t get it in the net

And I cant see goals from him (which i even said in pre season).

Comments are wild honestly, sit back and judge as if you was watching another team, would you be looking at that today thinking wow that Barry had a great game? NO I don’t believe half of yous praising his game today would. He literally did the minimum you’d expect from a player with his price tag. I honestly can’t remember anything he did where I thought oh yes that was good. Tbh the only thing that stands out is how he managed to hurt his shoulder with no contact from anything, lay a decent ball off and a couple of times come away with the ball but thought they looked awkward and he was lucky to retain possession. Might not sound like it but I’m not hating on the lad just think he’s miles off, and in no way had a great or even a good game. If he played well today then the standards here are seriously low.
