Tim allowed DH to have more freedom in the middle of the park his physical presence counted a lot imo - Barry helped to link the midfield also - DM has to find the right blend- Barry needs a goal to gain even more confidence....we looked more potent today all over ....

It seems that things are starting to drop with him, areas he needs to get into , runs he needs to make, certainly the effort is there. I think he’ll be better next season , whether we can wait longer than January is doubtful so he desperately needs to score a couple of goals.

I've been one of his biggest critics, but I gave him a standing ovation at the game today.
He was much improved, looked interested and he battled for every ball.
We expect 100% when they pull on the blue shirt and I think he gave us everything today.
Just needs a goal.
Fans were great with him today.

That was about the only thing he did ok...he is nowhere ready for pl football sadly. Beto had more of a presence up top when he came on. Whilst beto is very limited as a footballer, he has pace and strength...barry dont seem to have either...perhaps a slightly better touch than beto, yet to see his shooting skills which pretty much tells the full story. 27 millions seems steep to me. Perhaps he is more suited to the slow football in la liga.

Love that. What that also says is that he has felt like he’s let us down so far, which must be a horrible burden for a young lad in a new country to bear.

Fair play to him, and to the fans that gave him a bit of encouragement.
