2025/26 Thierno Barry

Happy with discussion, it’s some jumping to “ he’s totally crap” and the stuff I keep hearing at the match that’s bothering me. Nasty

Same as the vitriol Beto gets, especially during the game, it’s unnecessary imo.

Was in hoping Barry would smash it and hit the ground running, absolutely.

Am I a tad disappointed at the start he’s made, yes I am, but I won’t write the lad off just yet.

There are also lots of comments saying give him a run in the side. Mine included. Unfortunately the flip side is we tried that on sunday and if the changes were not made at HT we'd have not won that game so its becoming a bit of a double edged sword. Its not all about him.
He's gona have to grab his chance when he gets it.

He looks like he realises he's made a big mistake and is out of his depth, but knows he has to just get on with it.
Maybe homesick.

People dont wana hear that. I remember the Roma game and i thought he did ok ish and nothing more than that. You'd have thought we'd signed dembele the way some were going on. Its not writing anyone off. Its just an honest assessment of what you see. Same with Aznou. Absolutely miles off it.
So you now take the view its near on 40m spent on both for ones for the future. We needed players in both positions to hit the ground running in all honesty but hey ho.
Not gona lie. Its still very early but there's a possibility we've done our dough here. Clinging onto the hope he's adjusting to a new league and a new country but im probably guilty of going with my gut reaction most times and ive not fancied him at all early on. Hope im eating humble pie come jan/feb time as i just want a decent through the middle centre forward so we can kick on.

Well, that's good. He's not Spanish, he just spent a year there, but that's good at least.
Never said he was Spanish,he's played his football in the EU so the idea that a change of culture is a factor is laughable. Now if the poster I answered had said he hasn't been expected to play with his back to goal and close down opposition defenders. That's a different story
