2025/26 Thierno Barry

Still think needs a player closer to him kdh is not close enough to link with the cf. is why would see more benefit a 433 with atleast gana taking chances to support the striker aswell. Would just try barry and ndiaye as the two cf for this game, to atleast try something different.

Why not just give the lad the next 5 games and let him try and build some partnerships/confidence. I’m absolutely certain at worst, he will be no worse than Beto. Pointless giving him 10-20 minutes here and there.
As much as I think he's probably a dud and that he'll be shipped out sooner rather than later - even just going by his face when he's waiting to be subbed on; he looks like a kid who's been dropped off at the wrong school - there's no reason not to give him a few starts on the spin first.

It was having a situation like this with DCL and Tosun taking turns getting hooked for each other that marked the beginning of the end for Silva. Moyes is going to very quickly run out of goodwill if he carries on as he is.

Again its perception isnt it. You just said in a small part on the 2nd goal. Its how far you choose to go back on a goal. Everyone has a part. When people start pulling up they were "involved" you know other stuff isnt going so well.
Like i said its not a big deal. I'd just rather be talking about a striker directly scoring or directly assisting.
It's not perception he played a crucial role in the first goal with good play. I'm not sure why you would deny that.

Lol
Ndiaye played it to gana. Gana played it to dewsbury hall. Dewsbury hall played it to grealish. Grealish crossed it for ndiaye. How far back do you want to go for crucial.
Behave.
Actually his play for the first goal is twofold and includes both on and off the ball behaviour. He first holds the ball up well to start off the move and then he creates space for Ndiaye at the back post with his run to the near post when Grealish crosses it.

Ive watched it. He took the throw in off obrien. Its not clear if he actualy miss controlled it or layed it off. Hard to tell as he hit the deck. But i'll go with played it.
Its standard play that you expect off any player.
Only on forums like this is it "crucial play?
You dont really read this in other threads. People are desperate for our strikers to perform. As am i. But im not gona exaggerate just basic play.

Something can be basic but crucial.

We don't score unless he hold up the ball and makes the pass. Don't that quickly meant the other players were in space. I'd say that was pretty crucial. There were three keys bits of play in the move, the hold by Barrie, the, touch and pass by KDH and the dribble and cross by Dibbling. Perhaps if I drew a picture for you in crayon?

You're trying to big up something that isnt really there. Im sure if we went back and looked at cenk tosuns Everton record he'd have been "involved" in goals that can be described as crucial. Almost every goal can. Its a stupid case to argue.
The point was clearly being made as if to say he was involved in two goals so he's doing ok. Well he's not really is he. This is an Everton forum. Theres no point in trying to bullshit Everton fans on an Everton forum. The lad wasnt a free transfer. He was 27m. Its not a criticism of him. Its just a fact he hasnt made an impact yet.

I think that's all in your head mate to be honest. A complete straw man. Someone said the one game he started we won 2-0 and he was involved in both goals. Which is 100% factually correct. You got a bee in your bonnet about it for some reason and decided to deny his involvement which is obviously ridiculous and you started trying to bring Pickford into. I think everyone agrees he hasn't done much, but he did start in a 2-0 win and he was involved in both goals nevertheless. Complete stupidity/gaslighting to claim otherwise.

The post was clearly insinuating he did the business against Brighton. Ive stated i think you're pushing it a bit there with that opinion. Even went and looked at the extended highlights of the game. Ive no reason to change that view.
I'll have a navy blue crayon btw if thats available.

164 Premier League minutes & one Premier League start.

Does he look good? No. I can’t say he does.
But come on, it’s so early, let’s at least give him a chance.
At the very least we do shouldnt write him off because it would cost us a fortune !

Not sure why fans would want to cut off our nose to spite our face - needs a season at least.

I suppose frustration at not having a decent striker comes into it...no point putting it all on Barry's shoulders.

He looked bad against Wolves though, hope there is better to come.
