According to Charlie Adam he was bought because he has a similar profile to Beto. Think we needed something slightly different myself.

I don't think they're alike anyway so we failed on two fronts.

People need to ease up he's only started like 2 games so far. Still needs to be acclimated and Moyes current tactics are hindering his ability to even have a presence in the games. There are posters on here who just attack him daily foaming at the mouth , your regular diatribes aren't going to bring in a new striker or turn him into a balloon d'or winner so take a break from the vitriol sessions

It's not just anyone playing the euro u21's for France though.

Has he done anything at all in his 6 games for us? I’m not bothered about him scoring, has he worked? Has he done anything at all half decent, I think the answer is no.

Fanbase still toxic and horrible as soon as a couple of results don’t go in our favour I see.

This fanbase deserves Sean Dyche and scraping 17th every season.

Was always surprised we was in for him as he didn't fit Moyes IMO, 1st July;

Surprised we're in for him.

I'd have thought Moyes would look to someone with Prem experience, like Mitrovic.

Thinking of Beattie, Johnson, Yakubu, Saha, Beckford, Jo, etc.

He doesn't have the best record of bringing in strikers who haven't played in the Prem - he didnt fancy that Haller/record buy at £45m for West Ham. Don't think he was the manager who bought him, but Scamacca I think he was?

But Barry does seem to have traits that make him an Everton type striker...

Way too early to be making any conclusive points/opinions on him though.

We are where we are for now and he's barely had a chance so far. Moyes needs to start him for a run of games and see how he does. Beto's been given a good run of games so far this season and shown very little.

They are very alike,both struggle to control the ball and both lose far more headers than they win.

Played a part in most of the goals in the first few games of the season no? Barely got a touch of the ball in the box but definitely shown better hold up play and passing than Beto.
