2025/26 Thierno Barry

Of course he’ll be showing signs of rawness!

He’s 21 ffs, playing in the hardest league in the world

This doesn’t worry or surprise me.

I’d be more worried if this surprised those at the club. What were they expecting?!

Eh I thought the (relatively) rawness was already reflected in the price? To get a ready-made, plug-and-play striker you'd be looking at £40m upwards
This is the reality, look at striker market this summer. Imo United have paid twice the money for potential in Sesko, so not really feeling too bad at all about the money spent on Barry personally.

The full quote from the article is - "Moyes believes that blooding him in more gradually, as is the current plan, will allow him to fulfil his undoubted potential, even if it does rely on Beto to perform a great deal better than he did on Monday."

Sounds like plan was never for him to go straight into starting, if we've made an error its more likely putting too much faith in Beto to consistently deliver.

People still slagged Rom's touch and link play offwhen he was netting 20 plus goals. It's just the way of things.
