2025/26 Thierno Barry

You cannot overlook a player who comes on and scores twice in 30 minutes. Therefore, regardless of his previous performances, he must start against Palace.

Yes you can. We’ll start Beto.

Beto didn’t score because Rohls cross deflected away from him. Barry scored because Rohls shot deflected straight to him.

It’s ultra fine margins. Beto’s all round physicality and better movement still make him the better option.

Here are the league leaders for goals scored.

Since Barry and Beto are almost never on the pitch at the same time - one starts the game, and the other subs around the 70-minute-mark or so - let's consider them as a single player.

That player, the Everton Striker of the Particular Moment, would have 16 goals (they have 8 each on the season).

That would give said amalgamation the third-highest goal total among pure strikers, trailing only Haaland and Thiago and ahead of such as Joao Pedro, Gyorkeres, DCL, Welbeck, Ollie Watkins, and Etitike.

for each of their individual failings, that's impressive. It's also a pure head scratcher. What to do?

Sell them both and by a Thierno Beto hybrid

Doesn't hurt to have Barry itching to come on and make an impact again anyway.
Beto will soften them up a bit for him

Never want to see him play a single minute for Everton again. A disgrace of a transfer, signed off on by our genius manager.

You're such a meme Butters.

Sounds good but those other players besides the top two have not played 90min week in week out at all.
It does show once again when look at things objectively our strikers are not as bad as some people think
