Annoying thing is there were other options. Could have stuck ndiaye central. Brought alcaraz on to play behind. Even Rohl.
To throw him on and he didnt even look arsed is so aggravating. But not even surprising. Its not the first time he's looked like he's sulking for whatever reason.
First one out the door in the summer if it was down to me.

He was awful today. I have been more open to giving him the benefit of the doubt than most I would say but lately I just don’t see the signs of a PL player in his performances. He lacks coordination and any kind of battling qualities that a modern day forward needs

I’d have stuck Keane up front instead of Barry. Was Coleman on the bench? I’d have had him on the right and JOB in as cb. Keane would have held the ball better and probably fired off a couple of shots from distance to test their keeper.

I think Moyes has a responsibility to drop Barry from the bench, to show that you cant stroll round in a derby like he did today, barely even attempting to win anything or hold the ball up, never mind actually making something happen, and still get to come on for 20 minutes in the next game.

If he was dropped from the squad, we’d see whether he actually had any character or desire to get back into it.

Tbh I can see why we took a punt on him in a general sense:

• France U21
• Good strike rate with Basel and a top 4 league with Villarreal
• Only 23 years old

With just that in mind, the fee was to be expected...but unfortunately has not really worked out for him obviously. Not sure where we go from here, but I do think he will be here through the Summer at least.
