I mean have to be honest, as a young(er) poster, the majority of the worst opinions on this site come from angry boomers rage posting without exercising critical thinking.

The prevalent opinion on here before he was sold was genuinely that Onana was an awful player who shouldn't have been near our midfield. I think mainly because he also missed a stuttered penalty that was never forgiven, and was too much of a 'cheerleader' whatever that means.

To be clear there's nothing wrong with having a club culture, but there's definitely an older generation of Everton fans who need to accept the reality that the football world they grew up with doesn't exist anymore. Players who fit their ideal of a what constitutes a good professional barely exist anymore. Nothing wrong with complaining when we're being served up poor football, but there's a stupid obsession with the personality of players fitting an extremely specific brief.

This is what people told you if you said DCL was a decent player the last couple of years. Same people are now crying incompetence that we let him go and saying he would solve all of our problems.

Barry has enough to be a decent player for us, he deserves to be given a go in a properly functioning team. Just my opinion.

Yeah, we are enduring the sunk-cost fallacy with this fella. Too many people are too invested in his success to see the reality: they cocked up and we'd better cut our losses sooner rather than later.
