This is what people told you if you said DCL was a decent player the last couple of years. Same people are now crying incompetence that we let him go and saying he would solve all of our problems.

Barry has enough to be a decent player for us, he deserves to be given a go in a properly functioning team. Just my opinion.

Lord knows we've let a lot of those names go, from Hallam Hope to Ellis Simms. Surely some young academy product can push on and deliver better football than whatever it is Barry and Beto provide

Honestly, difference is that you're looking at it through an emotional lens and I'm not.

The pen was shocking, never a good idea for an Everton player to do anything other than smash it and as I said a lot fans will never forgive that now. He's not done that because he's not taking it seriously though, he (wrongly) thought that was his best chance at scoring and that's why he took it like that.

For me right now he's the better striker of the 2 and should be starting the rest of the season and it's as simple as that. In summer we will look to sign another striker, but until then - he needs confidence and fans should continue to support him imo.
