Imagine after winning 2 nil, going after the young lad who was making his first start for the club who was a key part in both goals.

No wonder young players like Kean, Lookman and Gordon were desperate to get away from us.

Why do you do this? What's wrong with fans discussing players? With the caveat of it simply being first impressions ?

Do you ever actually watch Everton in real life? If you did you'd find most fans exchange opinions on what they see in front of them.

I'd love to know why Barry was sat on the concrete steps in the dugout when he came off?

Do we not have enough seats in the dugout for the players/backroom staff or something?

You literally dissected both his goal involvements as him just ‘falling over’ and for the second, just controlling a ‘gentle ball’. And then have the temerity to suggest others don’t watch it. You have then directly agreed that he has no pace, no strength and basically offers nothing.

His touch for the first goal is very very good, considering he had a defender all over him. He then ‘fell’ under the pressure from the defender but still ensured we kept control of the ball a laid the ball off to Ndiaye and then got up and was then furthest forward.

Second goal, his first time pass from a 50 yard aerial ball is again, very good, and he then spun from the defender into space to get the ball back.

The sorts of plays we have been desperate for our strikers to do for years. Actually winning it and keeping hold and laying it off to bring others into it.

But you tried to make out as if he did nothing as if they were just lucky bits of play.

I think you're being incredibly generous there but let's see how he goes. I was simply expecting more in terms of basic striker attributes but would love to be proved wrong as the season progresses.

Other may disagree, which is obviously fine by me but may also reflect a deeper defence mechanism which protects their ego from various forms of real or fantasy threats, but isn't it nice that a bunch of the new lads combined for the goals in the new ground.

Great first touch on the first allowed him to get it to Ndiaye.

Good link up play with Ndiaye on the second and patience to find Gana with the right pass.

Really should have had a goal on the free header, which again highlights there are things he needs to work on.

In the pre-season I thought he was a bit more competitive (nasty) and I didn't see that Sunday which is a bit surprising.

All in all, it was a good full debut.

Apparently someone had given him an entire jar of pickled eggs as a welcome to Everton gift. He had polished the entire jar off and was dropping ‘paint-strippers’ left, right and centre.

Helped set up another goal today, good holdup play so will probably continue to start games.

Needs to be more direct; that last pass from Grealish, he should really be shooting with his left.

He’s a funny one for me. Some great touches but then some dreadful ones. Not sure he causes enough problems at the minute.

Positive in the sense it was another start and minutes under his belt but we are crying out for a premier league ready striker.

Thought played well has good movement was at the game tonight and could see was making runs. Just players not looking for him enough.
