2025/26 Thierno Barry

Barry's ploughed a lonely furrow up front tonight. First line of defence. Thankless task. Running his legs into stumps. Not making it easy for the defence. Doing what he can. Working for the team. He'll sleep well tonight. Not scared of the hard yards. Leaving it all out there. Showing guts, stones, balls and gravel. Running his socks off. One or two of his teammates could learn a lesson. Honest as the day is long. Old school values. Can't buy that spirit. Example to all young pros. Lovely lad. Good family. Grounded. Not a bad bone in his body. Loves his nan. Hasn't forgotten where he's come from. No Insta. Childhood sweetheart. Funded a hospital in his hometown. Great lad around the club- the lunch ladies love him. Success hasn't changed him. Needs a goal to settle him, do him wonders. Listens to his coaches. No father figure as a lad, needs a kiss and a hug sometime. Worth his weight in gold.
Jackets for goalposts... isn't it?

Class tonight. He obviously won a lot of headers (always does, who are the blerts who say he doesn't?) but I thought his one and two touch work in the middle of the park and running into the channels was also exceptional.

Needs a goal but that was a really encouraging performance

Beto is not getting anywhere near the starting XI if he keeps this up

Seemed to win every single header in the second half and ran his you know what's off.

He's getting there. Just genuinely needs a goal now and he can kick on to finish on 7 or 8 for the season and then hopefully be better next season.

A goal will come as long as he keeps that work rate up. Thats a proper thankless task doing what he done tonight. Very easy for him to have been subbed, Ndiaye go to a false 9 and Mcneil come on. The fact he was kept on, led the line well and put in a monster shift is a credit to himself and shows he's earning the trust of Moyes.

Finally starting to believe that he’s better than Beto. Credit to him for adapting and clearly working hard on his game because he looked like a fish out of water in his first couple of competitive games but he looked really good today with his link up play first half especially.
