2025/26 Thierno Barry

Wasn’t sure on the opening montage of Manchester landmarks to introduce his new club move, or his assertion Lukaku was our highest ever goal scorer.
If that wasn’t bad enough - RED leather seats in his car? RED?!?

But joking aside he does seem like a grafter, that extra hour he spends in the gym after training, I’m surprised he finds time to review the menus from his private chef or get his barnet trim by the private barber in his home salon.

Not a bad life is it mate lol

A good insight to him being aware that hes struggling and why he isnt getting selected (or wasn't at that particular time) and that hes been in a similar situation before so believe it will turn.

Ill die on that hill about him not being prolific. Doesn't look a threat in the air, the box or in behind. Doesn't shoot from near or far so far so yeah I'll happily say he's never gonna be prolific and more than happily be proved wrong. He's a handful but we need more than that.
Last two..a sitter that would usually be a goal. A goal where he was not the party offside. Green shoots with not too much time in the prem. Who knows but there are signs...

Exactly, this is the laughable bit about people writing him off and writing all sorts of negative stuff. He's literally had about 300 minutes in an Everton shirt, most of which were crappy bit part sub appearances. Fulham first game really where he banked a solid 75mins from starting.

Dude is saying "doesn't wash after a time" and writing off player after 300 minutes. Some people just chat absolute nonsense.
I wish Moyes would give Alcaraz 300 minutes. As a "TEAM" player, more of a goal threat, probably more ability and roughly the same age, I would take Charly up front. Maybe controversial on here but there my thoughts.

I did notice there was a part where his dad mentioned that he calls him after every game to discuss any errors Thierno made , it's like he's got grand old team on the phone.

Save yourself then mate.
Ignore what you've read so far, and just watch the game and see what you see.
From the very limited MOTD footage (couldn’t find extended highlights on sky ?) did a good chest down to someone , few good runs and could have got that header but I thought he looked a bit more dynamic than previous game and a bit more effort and desire , still long way to go though .

How did he do? From the extended highlights and his little Twitter player cam thing still looked super uncomfortable with a football and that header attempt... well.

He was ok tbf. I thought it was a nice touch giving him a standing ovation, I dont think he played outstanding to get one but I think the fans have done him a good turn.

His header was really poor I thought. But in the 2nd half, I thought he rallied really well, he done a brilliant drop of the shoulder to beat a man on the half way line ( and i mean it was proper quality ) and raced down the left. He then tried to do a dribble and completely fell over himself and was in agony with his shoulder even though no one was near him. It was hilariously bad and such a shame after the skill on the halfway line. Someone said he had heavy strapping on his shoulder so maybe he jarred it somehow, but it was funny all the same.

Unlucky with his goal, and definitely more signs of him settling down a little more. Not amazing, but at least there were positive signs. He got subbed after 79 minutes so barring injury, he's earned himself another start against Man Utd I reckon.

Bar that miss I think he's done well the past 2 games. Don't like how Moyes hangs him out to dry, but glad he stuck with him to start him on Sat and didn't drag him off around the HT mark. Glad he got the ovation he got when he came off and he prob needed that. He probably didn't need Moyes to act shocked that he played well in the post match interviews. Hope he gets a run of games now, unlike Beto, Barry can improve.
