Or something like the time Jack Harrison, having all but signed for us, gets in his car and heads to villa park to sign instead, then does a 180 and comes back to us at the last minute.

Would've been a better move for him TBH; could've played in a CL quarter (maybe), instead came to Turmoil FC and got ragged for his man-bun.

You don't pay double or triple the price for a 22 year old because he has resell value. Barry for Villareal has been pretty average. He'd be an £8-10 million player if he was 27. To buy him for £25-30 million because of resell value with a plan of benching/rotation has no upside. If you buy him, you go all-in and make him an undisputed number 9. You give him every opportunity to justify his price tag. You stick with him even when he doesn't play good.


If you want a striker that can rotate with Beto you can get that without gambling with tens of millions of pound.

Barely 5% are based on fact, and then at the end we get a guy like Alcaraz that was on no one's radar.

It's interesting to watch the players, like Barry, that I've never seen before. But relating them to a transfer to Everton is hopeless at this point. You don't know where that information is coming from and the motive behind it, so if you're really following it closely it can become quite frustrating.

That's how desperate we were as a club and fans.

Hopefully a thing of the past.

Just what it is with football now alot of deals leaked early because of how much social media. Think everton doing the right thing here with barry seeing what they would prepare to take also could be what payments upfront. Just in that postion we cant really spend free like the rs chelsea ect. Think will help once we get a few deals done and players in, the position we have been in the past can see why so many frustrated with it lost out to many good players

Rumours from reputable sources - the likes of El Bobble and The Athletic - still excite me, however I too am fed up of all the rumours which are obviously nonsense. With some of the rumours, it does not take much to see through them.

Don't get me wrong, Woltemade looks a top prospect and has been my preferred option of the 2 but I dont think Barry looks bad at all. Different skill set, arguably more suited to the Prem tbh.

You never really know with a player like Woltemade if he is going to be able to play his game in the PL with much less time on the ball. His strengths while very impressive are not guaranteed to translate. Barry on the other hand to me looks like a real physical presence, has a nose for goals and a real knack for finding space in the box. This suits the league and us as a team down to the ground imo.

Tbh im very weary of buying players from the german league, dont think they translate well in the PL.

Unless your buying the absolute best, i think they struggle. As a attacker coming over i think you have to be rapid.
