The transfer thread, both in the Summer and Winter is like Speakers Corner in Hyde Park, where the unhinged and desperate can safely gather and howl at the moon, without judgement or fear of repercussion.

A few will leave the transfer thread to preach their madness elsewhere online, some will enter the real world, squinting in the sunlight after leaving their mums box room for the first team in years, others will for the first time in their lives start relationships with real women and pack away their blow up girlfriends and many will simply fade away and die, only to be found years later, mummified, slumped over their laptop.

We should cherish and celebrate the regular patrons of the transfer thread, for they are the true life blood of the forum.
