It is hard to assess him atm. He’s looked best when he’s had support up top. I think he was playing with Chermitti last time and it looked decent. He needs more pitch time.

Let’s not judge him on 3 small appearances pre season. I’m sure there’s lots to come from him. Young lad in a new team. Let him settle

I’m not sure he is like Beto. Seems more at home attacking balls (and defenders) in the air.

Beto almost needs a perfect bell played to him where he runs to it or traps it and turns around towards goal. Then he uses his physicality to muscle his way towards goal. Barry seems to try and make plays from whatever type of ball comes his way. Just an early observation.

Oh I’d agree his ceiling is higher I’m talking about their play styles being the same. We have two tall strikers who want to make runs off the defender. Just makes us a little bit one-dimensional up too.

Yeah i am curious what the plan will be this season if chermitti is the other striker or he looks for another

Beto’s strength has a lot to do with how he plays. Barry is tall and lanky and so far he comes across as more inventive.

Thierno Barry could have done with more minutes on the pitch during that Summer Series tour thingy. Let's hope he gets a proper run-out against Roma.

There were one or two instances this evening that gave me a bit of hope that he will be able to hold the ball up a bit better than Beto.
Bit more control and composure to lay it off.
The ball does seem to bounce off Beto when he’s got his back to goal imo.
