I'm still trying to get to the bottom of what constitutes a forward pass. If you play a safe pass to a team mate who's a metre or two away but half a metre further towards the opposition goal and you do it ten times in a match does that make you an amazing play maker with one hundred percent pass completion?

So let me get this straight in my own mind.
So Barry takes up a position on the edge of the six yard box with only the keeper between him and the back of the net,now let's say Pape Gueye beats a player on the edge of the box but slightly over runs the ball so ends up blasting it in Barry's direction from about 4 meters away and and before he can react it hits his knee and goes over the bar.
So that's a big chance missed and becomes part of his "stats"?

The main stat that I would pay attention to is his impact for his team; how they perform with him vs without.

Villarreal’s win percentage with Barry is at 55%, compared to 40-45% without him.
