Most strikers get a goal with the same exact strike he made. I'm not saying he hasn't disappointing in the finishing department because he most certainly has. I'm saying he created the goal with a dangerous run and a decent enough attempt. There isn't really a need to downplay his impact on that goal.

He's missed a fair few one on one's with keeper's, he never changes what he does, he always hits it low (or shins it) and virtually at the keeper, I don't understand why he never tries to lift it over the keeper, or try something else. It must be a piece of piss for keepers who watch video's of him.

The fear Walcotts pace puts in opposing defences shouldn't be underestimated.

He probably is a bit too predictable. I can't argue with that. BUT- in this particular instance, it was very well placed (looked like it was heading for the corner on the replay) and there was no way the keeper could get enough on that to clear it. Would like him to put it away as many have said, but it wasn't criminal like some of his other misses.

Different games require different things.

Alot of criticism for him but he's still making positive runs, after all we did score from another run through the middle from him. Not saying he hasn't been relatively poor, but against Liverpool I'd much rather have his pace keeping Robertson back, with Lookman I think Robertson would be more at ease pushing forward and I don't know if I could trust Lookman to follow the man. Not sure Walcott would either but I dont think they'd push as much leaving Walcott alone.
Walcott isn’t good enough defensively for me so I think they are very similar in that department. I like Walcott as a player going forward but I think Lookman may well exploit Liverpool’s defence when Robertson has bombed on. Them runs you talk about are quality just no end product at all with Walcott. Either way I don’t mind who plays as long as we win the game

No they are both untrustable with regards to tracking Robertson for sure. I do think they'll be more inclined to keep Robertson back more though if it's Walcott playing as he's more of a known entity.

It'll come off for Walcott, confident that he'll go on a purple patch and grab a good few goals in a few games.

I have no doubt in walcotts ability and I like yourself do think it will happen and hopefully it’s during this mass amounts of games through the Christmas period.

He has the pace to be a constant thorn in the side of any defender in the league I just hope to god come Sunday he has those shooting boots on. If it’s him or Lookman that starts or comes of the bench I think they will cause a lot of problems regardless. Whoever gets the tired defenders will hopefully bag a goal or assist.

I think Robertson will bomb on regardless too as it’s a derby so there’s a lot more then just 3 points for us it’s 20 years of hurt and for them it’s a case of either being up there in the league or the pontential of us ruining any slight chance they have plus bragging rights. I think on paper this has the making of the most interesting derby for many years

I’m going to be a bit lenient on Lookman considering he’s only playing a bit part in games.

Yeah agreed and that's fine.

That said some think he "deserves" a start after only playing bit parts in games too.

I am a big believer of never changing a winning team and really right now the only area of contention for me in the side is the centre backs as they have all impressed. I like Lookman as a dangerous sub for now, his chance will come, for now though we should just ride this good wave we are on.
