I think there was a reason(s) a very educated man in Wenger was hesitant to use Walcott as a striker.
Most strikers get a goal with the same exact strike he made. I'm not saying he hasn't disappointing in the finishing department because he most certainly has. I'm saying he created the goal with a dangerous run and a decent enough attempt. There isn't really a need to downplay his impact on that goal.
The fear Walcotts pace puts in opposing defences shouldn't be underestimated. Most strikers get a goal with the same exact strike he made. He probably is a bit too predictable. I can't argue with that. BUT- in this particular instance, it was very well placed (looked like it was heading for the corner on the replay) and there was no way the keeper could get enough on that to clear it. Would like him to put it away as many have said, but it wasn't criminal like some of his other misses. He's missed a fair few one on one's with keeper's, he never changes what he does, he always hits it low (or shins it) and virtually at the keeper, I don't understand why he never tries to lift it over the keeper, or try something else. It must be a piece of piss for keepers who watch video's of him.
Walcott isn’t good enough defensively for me so I think they are very similar in that department. I like Walcott as a player going forward but I think Lookman may well exploit Liverpool’s defence when Robertson has bombed on. Them runs you talk about are quality just no end product at all with Walcott. Either way I don’t mind who plays as long as we win the gameDifferent games require different things.
Alot of criticism for him but he's still making positive runs, after all we did score from another run through the middle from him. Not saying he hasn't been relatively poor, but against Liverpool I'd much rather have his pace keeping Robertson back, with Lookman I think Robertson would be more at ease pushing forward and I don't know if I could trust Lookman to follow the man. Not sure Walcott would either but I dont think they'd push as much leaving Walcott alone.
It was another case of Walcott not being able to finish with only the keeper to beat IMO.
Lookman has done the exact same thing the past two games.
Imagine what we would be like if we were in a bad run of form...
Seen him score a hat trick vs Sunderland in my first ever game at GoodisonThere will only ever be one Moggsy, the most under rated player in two championship winning Everton teams.
I think it’s time Zat put down the shovelInteresting how your opinion goes into autopilot on any player over the age of 25. Interesting how we have won 4 of our last 6 games with Walcott starting. Interesting how utterly wrong you have called it before on other young players

I have no doubt in walcotts ability and I like yourself do think it will happen and hopefully it’s during this mass amounts of games through the Christmas period. No they are both untrustable with regards to tracking Robertson for sure. I do think they'll be more inclined to keep Robertson back more though if it's Walcott playing as he's more of a known entity.
It'll come off for Walcott, confident that he'll go on a purple patch and grab a good few goals in a few games.
He wad one of the two players, the other being Ian Hutchinson of Chelsea, on Jack Charlton's black book. Moggsy broke big Jack's ankle and stood over him and asked him "are you ok big man?"Seen him score a hat trick vs Sunderland in my first ever game at Goodison
Well when I said seen I was 7 yr old and in the crowd lol
I’m going to be a bit lenient on Lookman considering he’s only playing a bit part in games.
