And how can you say for certain that they would have more goals/assists?
Simple really, what Digne, Rico and Bernard do is draw in the defence, creating space on the other side.
They do this more effectively than on the R wing.
With Gomes better at switching the play, more chances will come.
If it was happening on both wings we would see more goals.
If Rico was able to operate in more space via the better work from RW, we'd be rocking.

Think he’d be a player we’d miss if he was left out. Positionally in attacking and defending he’s perfect. He hasn’t been finishing well recently but he gets almost 1 clear one on one in every game due to the intelligence of his runs. Attacking left backs haven’t really given us a problem this season either as they are pinned back by his pace. He’s a good player who just needs to be a bit more definitive in his touch and finishing but wouldn’t surprise me at all if he made the difference at Old Trafford.

Um, can we end the discussion right now about whether Walcott is any good or not? He is a 1 goal in 4 winger who can actually defend. A million times better than anything we have had out wide as an attacking winger for a long ling time. His presence unnerves defenders due to his pace and he allows us to be very dangerous on the counter - something we have not been since Mirallas had his purple patch and probably Kanchelskis before that.

He has raised the standard in that position - please let's not get ahead of ourselves in terms of expectations. He is just fine for us at the moment.

Walcott is a top quality Premier League player. He does the basics well and is really good in situations when he can be direct and drive and in behind defenders. Naturally, the number of times these situations occur will vary depending on the game but his goal vs Bournemouth & assist vs Fulham show his quality when they do occur.
How many of our other players have we seen bearing down on goal one vs one with the keeper this season? It's testament to Walcott's movement and pace that he gets himself into those positions more than any other player. He did miss the one on one against Palace this weekend which will occasionally happen, but he slotted the one the week before against Southampton and just the fact that he can get in behind defences for these chances is massive for us. I wouldn't say he's Champions League quality, but we aren't at that level yet and week in week out in the Prem he'll be great for us.

he's crap. Can't control the ball, can't put a decent cross in and can't shoot (he passes it at the keeper). The Bournemouth goal was a deflection, it hit the defender's foot as Walcott hit it thereby wrong - footing the keeper. He never turns up against the big teams, just wait and see over the next 4 away games.

Away from home he's a must and also at home against teams that like to play a high line. However there may be better options at home to teams that park the bus and don't give him much space to use his pace. Players like Bernard and Lookman have that bit of magic that could make a difference and I'd always have Dowell on the bench for such games as we know he has the capability to score from anywhere.

I'm all for having a settled side defensively, but going forward I think we should be making more use of the squad now were getting all our players fit.

There's still a brilliant player in him, hope he can recapture his form
He hasn't lost his form really mate. The game just didn't suit his style at the weekend as Palace didn't give him the space to use his pace. Against both Leicester and Arsenal he looked very dangerous. Teams find it hard to cope with his pace when they defend higher up the pitch and he's a fantastic weapon to have in our armoury.

He lacks confidence right now, but he is still a vital part of the team. He is literally all over the pitch and had great chances to score the game winner on three or four seperate occasions already this season. I’d argue the main reason he is missing those chances is because he is running himself into the ground which is something he wasn’t required to do at Arsenal.

(In terms of positioning, he is by far the most dangerous player in the squad and it isn’t even close)

Terrible judgement
