No, captaining a minnow over the course of 7/8 games doesn't deserve a mention.

I'm not doubting how good both Bernard and Richarlison are, but Theo Walcott is a top player who has had a fantastic career.

If either Bernard or Richarlison can achieve what Walcott has then I'm sure they will be thrilled.

Don't let facts get in the way of your original comment though.

Hold on, what HAS walcott achieved thats so superior to Bernard and Richarlison?

Played at the very top level, in the best league in the world (including Champions League pretty much his entire career)

Represented his country at numerous tournaments and won domestic trophies.

Before you start, I'm not even acknowledging Bernards time at Shaktar other than his champions league participation in a tin pot league.

Just multiple International caps and trophies.

Must admit it surprised me, but Wiki says "just" 2 FA Cups.
No no no.

Bernard has won many more than Theo, albeit in a very average football league.
I did think he had won the league myself also.

Walcott -- 72 games in continental competition and 2 FA cups...also 47 caps.

Bernard -- 54 games in continental competition and 10 club trophies. Also 14 caps for a far superior national team where he won a trophy...

Bernard also has 3.5 years to achieve more.

So im not sure how Walcott has had a far superior career...hes had a good one but (like bernard) hasnt fulfilled expectations...bernard still could reach another level, we will see.
