2018/19 Theo Walcott

With close to 300 premier league appearances under his belt, the chances of it finally happening are slim.
True, but I would take someone scoring 10% of 100 chances over the course of a season than someone scoring 100% of 10 chances. As long as we are creating we are capable of scoring. The fact he is getting in behind and having shots is making defenders concentrate on him which in turn frees up room for others to get in and around him, his movement and threat helps the team, even if he doesn't score enough and his passing is fine, does lots of good quick intricate passing with Coleman on the right.

I think he's a dangerous and useful player, but it's all subjective opinion - I'd rather have Ronaldo of course, but prefer him to a lot of the wingers we have had over the last 30 years.. Not a priority replacement imo. I still rate him.

Personally think he's a very good player, just woefully out of form. None of our attacking players have shone in recent weeks though and with Richarlison, Lookman and Bernard all better suited to the left or centre, there isn't another decent option for his position. I'd start him on Sunday.

There's sometimes a case of a guy not being good enough, and sometimes a case of having it in his locker but just being out of form

With Theo it's the latter. He has quality. He never broke through at Arsenal as a striker b/c he's never going to be that true up top finishing specimen. But he can score goals when he's in form. And when he's not in form, he still has enough pace and nous to help out the team in other ways.

Team Theo here.

Well first he has to be for sale.

So in order to sell, he has to be replaced.

Every player is for sale at every team...for the right price.

Someone who "90% of premier league teams want" would surely be attracting numerous offers...

Or would you like to backtrack lol

Nope, you implied we would basically have to basically beg other clubs to buy him, despite spending the last 6months saying we would easily be able to get our money back on him. I suggested that if we put him up for sale tomorrow, he would interest 90% of the clubs in the league, a figure I then reviewed and agreed was nearer to 65%.

My stance on Walcott has been the same since you kept saying you wanted him sold, if we replace him, sell him, whilst hes "possibly" our best option, then we would probably be best retaining him.

So no Zat, I dont wish to backtrack on anything.

If you see a player who was bought for 20 plus mil less than a year ago, on £100k plus a week and starting pretty much every game for a club above you you're pretty unlikely to bid for him aren't you?

Unless we drop him or make it clear to other clubs we want rid we won't be receiving any bids for him as it seems a waste of time for clubs below us and he's not good enough for those above us. Doubt he's gonna backtrack [laughing emoji].

His movement creates a lot of space for others as well as opportunities. Coleman has been so bad, we've just not gotten enough out of that side, but I think it's more Coleman than Theo.
