Made up to be wrong. Tbh, it shows the gulf between us and the top 6 teams that a player who was surplus to requirements at one of those clubs can arrive here and stand out as such a class act. We've got a long, long way to go but Walcott has been a great addition.
You need to look at this from another point of view.
Arsenal playing different type of game, and Walcott was miss used.
Walcott was let down by Wenger and injuries.

..when the ball is on the other side of the pitch, he hits the box. It’s not much to ask of a wide player, it’s what they do if they want to score goals. Have a look if Bolasie is in a goalscoring pisition when Walcott has the ball out wide.
Well, yeah, but that might not be where the manger wants him to be or at least it's a lot harder for him to get to the middle when he's hanging out wide.

Walcott likes to play more on the inside than Bolasie. He's a natural inside forward. He doesn't really take the ball to the corner or hang out on the sideline. But that's great for us, because it gives Coleman that space to attack. Much like having Bolasie wide is better for Baines who doesn't seem to want to attack as often anymore.

I'm not saying that Walcott isn't a better player, but they are playing different roles.

Any update on his status for the weekend? I fear for the attack without him at the moment and God knows we aren't keeping a clean sheet away

My daughters partner is an Arsenal supporter.................. I know but what can I do she is still a Blue.
He was gutted when Walcott left them.
I work with loads of gooners and whilst not all of them were gutted that he was leaving, none of them were chuffed either (e.g. most i know are saying they will drive Wilshire to us gift wrapped). Most of them believe he will have. A better career with us as he will be more of a first teamer, but thay all critcise Wenger for not allowing him the free role across the front line that he has always craved. They do not see him as a striker, but given the remit to constantly drift to where the ball is, they believe he would permanently have defenders worrying about where he was.

In Wenger's defence Walcott has always been a worse player than those he's competing against I.e. Adebayor, van persie, ozil, sanchez, giroud.

He'd start for most teams in the prem, but I don't think him being on the bench a lot for arsenal was harsh.

He was always expendable at Arsenal. Same with the Ox, Welbeck etc. If they haven't made a huge impact in 50 mins, they're the first to be taken off or not start.

But the whole think with him being binned off for Iwobi this season is just Wenger losing the plot.

He shouldve left years ago to be honest

definitely

9/10 when the ball is hit to him he retains it, even in traffic

anyone else, it's a coin toss

Gylfi's first touch is very good overall.

Rooney still has it, but too often he seems to think he still has that extra yard of pace and is quickly closed down by defenders.

Tosun's control has looked pretty good as well.

The more footballers we can get into the team the better. Ideally you’d want a Walcott type in most forward positions with pace touch and creativity.
