Hello there, you must be new to this world.

Fact: People with no experience have been getting jobs since time began. Sometimes people who are already known in one area are offered jobs in other areas, even if they have no experience in that other area.

What do you think of footballers writing biographies, or maybe actors, or maybe astronauts. I mean they will be bought in bulk by people who want to read about those people and their lives. I have noticed that there are few celebrities who are writing fiction despite not originally from the writing world. Getting publication deals easily, maybe because of their name. Is that bad, if they end up a good read, despite them not previously having experience.

Maybe you are saying books are a scam, it could explain a lot?
I'm saying political parties buying books in bulk of party leaders are very, very suggestive of a scam.

you think a political party bought Michelle Obamas "Becomming" on bulk, Why would they do that?
It was one of the fastest selling books of 2018 when released.
It's an excellent book, not sure there was a scam needed to boost numbers.

I would assume a scam version of this would be somebody putting the name of the said person on the book but it either not existing or has nothing to do with them.

A scam is a dishonest fraud, so the above would be a scam.

Them saying, I have written a book about my time in office and/or life, and that is exactly what the book is about, cannot be called a scam, surely?

I reckon it was a very round the houses accusation of the book being bought by 'dem-libs' ten a piece to prompt it's best seller certification.

I could well be wrong though, even the vaguest logic get's lost in that whirlpool of an account.

The whole discourse around Canada being the 51st state is so stupid. Unless of course the Republican plan is to seize it and keep it as a territory with no voting rights or representation (which is possible). Do they expect a country where everyone has health care, sends their kids off to school each morning without the fear of them being massacred, and treats women as full-on equals is actually going to help their voting demographics?

They already have to divide up minority neighborhoods at the local/state level in order to keep themselves in power. Does anyone really think they’ll allow a block of people larger than California, and probably equally or more liberal, all to vote as one? These are the same people who waged a slow, deliberate campaign over the course of 50 years to relegate women back to second-class status. That’s how deliberate and committed they are. No chance they’re actually this stupid. It’s absolute nonsense.

Their voters on the other hand, most of whom have only a tenuous grasp of how the system works…of course they lap this up.

Just disappointed that Trudeau didn't respond by saying Canada were considering annexing New England.

LA’s water doesn’t come from the north and the lack of water has nothing to do with the wild fire’s devastation.

And yet some friendless loser here unsurprisingly reposts Trump’s idiotic lying rant in order to troll the forum in hopes of some meager priapism. That’s their only goal here.

Shots fired in the 2028 campaign already. Gavin Newscum now in Trump's firing line.

The same discussion has been had in Western Australia for many years. Those without any level of scientific understanding believe that the North of the state is full of "waste" water that just runs into the sea during monsoon season, however those that are able to think critically realise that diverting that water would have massive ecological ramifications which eventually also has a flow down effect to human lifestyles.

I support the governor on this 👍

Maybe it's about time people realised that the Los Angeles Basin isn't meant to be inhabited by large numbers of humans. There's not enough water, the air pollution collects above it like a blanket because of the hills surrounding it, it's really earthquakey, and now it catches fire all the time.
