Listened to a podcast the other day explaining that the politico fees are subscriptions to ‘politico pro ‘ or something like that and common , although excessive here , throughout the political sphere including within the last trump White House.

So obviously there is always waste within government and reducing that can’t be a bad thing by any stretch but most of this seems to be headline chasing pandering to people who get overly excited by what they’re told to think .
I am not arguing about the service Politico Pro offers. I have no doubt it is an excellent service. I am questioning whether the Federal government should be paying millions of dollars in subscribing to it. If a Federal employee wants to subscribe then he or she should do so out of their own pocket.

Should Trump pay for his own security when he goes golfing at Maralago or at least not charge the Government for the security detail's stay?
Should Don Jr. (unelected) pay for his own security when he wants to go hunt harmless endangered species?

Why are you arsed, as a Scot, what the US government spends money on?

Spot on mate. Any of these researched obsessed losers should be made to pay for any happy "findings" adventures that want to go on. Ridiculous from previous administrations.

I doubt anyone who just reacted to that headline can understand why the federal government would pay for those licenses.

Are you really equating the security of the worlds most high profile target of assassination with a subscription to a politics based website?

If Iran assassinates Trump tomorrow then it's immediate death to millions of Iranians. If regional assistant of Transport affairs based in Buttf*ck, Virginia, doesn't get his politico Pro sub then I'm none the wiser as to how the Federal government is losing out.

Of course you aren't because you're neither an American nor do you understand how their government works and why analytics from Politico Pro is worth paying for the contract.

But of course that won't stop you kissing Musk's ring piece like the weird little sycophant act you non-yanks obsessed with Trump are constantly doing.

Go back to posting about Nathan Patterson and Scottish footy and stop with the pretend American act mate.

They are not serious about it at all. That's the problem.

They solely want to cut money out of the government to justify cutting taxes.

That's it. It's not rocket science

Yeah, this is all just weird revenge tactics. Trump is going after the NIH because his own messaging and the accompanying right-wing outrage disinformation machine is responsible for hundreds of deaths during COVID due to red counties having lower vaccination rates.

The place to start cutting government waste is at the Pentagon, which people have been discussing and debating for 50 years, starting with Casper Weinberger back during the Reagan era.

As you say, these people are entirely unserious.

I'm equating what you believe to be wasted spending of tax payer money with wasted spending of tax payer money

As far as we are all aware btw, the only one to take a pop at Trump was a young republican who shouldn't have had access to firearms but that's another day's debate.

Answer the questions. Should tax payers pay for Trump's golf trips at his own hotel? Should Tax payers pay for Don jr's hunting of harmless endangered species?
