That word means something different to everyone
In today's political landscape, Democrat essentially means anyone who is not MAGA.
So that is a wide, wide, wide, wide swath of people.
How does one piece together that swath of people?
Obama was a generational political talent, who also came about at just exactly the right time. Sure, there are "better" options than Kamala out there, but what's better to me might not be better to you.
Our political landscape is an absolute mess because of the meticulously curated alternate reality that right wing media has fostered for the better part of 30-35 years now.
So spare me the simple argument that if "we just had a better candidate" we wouldn't be in this mess.
I assert that yes, we still would be in this mess. Because all the reasons that gave rise to this mess still exist.
