Right, we have people who can see the statues and know the history who believe that those aggrieved are fully compensated and their children should be thankful since they're "lucky to be here."

I imagine your were copied in this thread out of context, so maybe I should take a step back. If you think changing dock names, knocking down statues, etc., is powerless to reverse past sins, I agree with you there. If you believe that past sins have been paid and there's no more problems, at least surrounding slavery/racism/etc., you might need to take a walk and get some fresh air, or at least log off the internet for a while. At least for your own good, even if not for others.

first part i agree with, slavery still goes on today even in this country, there just seems to be an obsession with the slavery we did, we were first to end it, never mentioned, white slavery never mentioned, im no expert, i did visit the museum on the docks, interesting, i never knew it was spain portugal that virtually started this, i dont know if they are getting this over there now
