Just on that clip of Matt Le Tiss there, and linked into the long standing question of asking people to define ‘Woke’.
It’s a proper breakdown of language and communication that we’re suffering from.
I know what the word ‘Woke’ means, as per the dictionary, but when Le Tiss said ”The woke Mr Southgate”, and the audience start clapping, I just don’t know what they’re clapping at, or what’s being communicated.
It’s not the dictionary definition that‘s being communicated, so there’s other concepts hidden in there, which are clearly getting implied but not said, but I‘m not sure a majority would be able to agree on what they are.
Mind-boggling, that I’m watching the conversation, understanding all the words, but the idea and content isn’t translating.
