The 'what are they saying on MNF' thread

Some have suggested Carragher would be a good manager or coach for us, obviously with his RS connections it would be unpopular. I think Keane is an OK defender, he played well against Chelsea at home when he was alongside Jags. Playing with a Donkey in Williams on one side, Cuco Martina on the other. Cuco Martina was also awful at Burnley, even Coleman looks bad alongside the dope Williams. The signing of Williams was where we started to go wrong, we already had experience in Jags and to a lesser extent Mori. He has been an awful signing, along with many others, that have left us in the mess we're in. It's to early to right off Keane, he's a young lad, he may get better in time. Jags wasn't great when he game, it took Baines a season to get into the first team.

Err no. Martinez was sacked because we were so poor defensively.

Could say any defensive signings we've made since Moyes left have been poor. Holgate aside.

I thought Carragher spoke like the Evertonian that still breathes beneath the surface.

When asked is Sam had “done the job he was was brought in to do” he said “no”.

He said about how Sam had an opportunity to show he was much more than a relegation battler and could have tried to show enough to keep the job into next season and prove himself at the biggest club he has ever managed.

Carra said about Sam comparing us to other clubs he has been at and said that “Everton aren’t Sunderland”.

He mentioned it was the things Sam said as much as his tactics which were annoying Evertonians.....and chuckled when he told how Sam told his players to follow the Swansea blueprint versus Arsenal.

Then he said Evertonians did not think settling for a scoreless draw at Watford and warming Schneiderlin up just before they scored was good enough....that he should have been making a progressive change to try and win the game.

Not a fan of Sam, is Mr. Carragher :)

Sounds like he posts on here, does that.

Literally no one has suggested that.

And Keane is utter gash, crap player, weak mentality, boot him out the club in the summer

As much as I dislike Carragher (he is a decent pundit I will concede) he has that absolutely spot on. Surely anyone serious about their profession and with a modicum of pride and belief in their own ability would at least attempt to do exactly this.

It’s so clear he sees us as his last big pay day.

Been saying this all season about Pickford, great shot stopper but must practice commanding his six yard box....
We have been so vulnerable at corners all year...

He must be aware, so keeper coach concentrate on this plz....

Keane and Williams (who was making nothing but thin air) got bossed by Chris Wood. Both got bossed by Barnes all game.

To blame Pickford for small bits of his game that he needs to improve for their ineptitude isn't correct imo.

Look at the first goal. What premier league defence allows a straight ball through a channel go past them? Then blame Pickford for not being Emerson or De Gea and being a yard or two off his line?

Pickford has kept scorelines respectable all season while those two clowns look like sunday league players.

Keane and Williams don't talk to each other or the defence. Williams doesn't organise. Keane isn't vocal. There's evidence of this all season when we've been an utter mess.

Unsworth had that mentality and we shipped goals for fun.

The squad is terrible to think wed turn up against any side and expect a win.

And mentally that shows in our away form which was instilled by Koeman last season when that dropped.
