The West Ham Thread

Jeez! An attacking player DOES NOT have to play the ball! The 'keeper fouled him independent of anything else going on around in the play. Is that so feckin' hard for you, and several others, to understand about what constitutes a foul. I despair of the stupidity of some on here, you included...

Hypothetical situations do not come into it...

I think you should calm down a bit, less of the name calling.

The game is all about opinions, I feel that it is a coming together, I see it as two players going for the ball and the ball diverting. Who is to say that the keeper wouldn't have made contact first, I suppose that may be a better way of saying it. I would have to look at it again but it could easily be fine margins to say for sure whether the keeper was actually late on the ball if the ball made it's way to the players in question. If it is obvious, without any doubt, that the keeper was late on the ball, then my opinion would change. At the time, I feel it was very hard to make that judgement.

The hypothetical situation is regarding my belief that the ref saw they arm, rather than a clash of heads/bodies and deemed it more excessive force, because of this. This is the reason for the hypothetical scenario of a player who would not be going (or should not be going) in with his arm raised like the keeper had his.

As I said, all about opinions, I respect your opinion, I just disagree with the context of the contact.

If a keeper goes for a corner it's pretty much impossible not to make contact with another player in a crowded box. To give a penalty the referee would have to be certain he made the contact with an opponent purposely, which given the number of bodies involved is near to impossible. What next,if his arm contacts his own player who then falls into an opponent that's a penalty?

Their defence is absolute ass. That Tolibo looks like he works in a burger van, just no sense or athleticism. The goalkeeper isn't up much too much either. Even in that season you refer too we at least had Pickford and Tarkowski, something for Dyche to work with. But even peak Big Sam or Pulis couldn't tighten them up.

That Todibo looked like a potential star a few years back. Dropped off a bit then became a potential star again which is why West Ham signed him.

Turned out a bit like my Max Arrons shouts :o

I wonder how Todibo would have got on if he'd have joined a better side...

Also Kilman was touted for England squads before they signed him. I thought he looked ace for Wolves right before his big move.

Quite amazing how they spent so much for that horrible team.

Would have been better off getting in a top name manager by paying a kings ransom & a top DOF.
