Spent this last weekend in Rapid City, SD (on purpose) - think the high on Saturday was -16(F) - my wife was not pleased.

I know it well from my running.

I love it in the Lakes when it’s like this in the Winter.

It’s beautiful walking weather too, as long as you’ve got the right gear.

I'm staying at the Glen Rothay/Badger Bar. Two of the staff are an Australian couple, same age as my son. Been a lovely break.

The lake sometimes helps or hinders us. This storm it was a help, everything west of I94 got large snowfalls and we get 6-8".

Drove past it today, had to pop to Hwy 50 in Kenosha.

Rydal, in between Ambleside and Grasmere. It’s lovely up here, been walking in the snow in the arvo then drinking proper beer by the fire, with the resident dog, in the evening. Heaven.

Had the absolute pleasure of living near there for a winter season.
Winter wonderland it was.
Pretty sure i recognise that bar too. Enjoy!

The lakes have a huge effect. We are about 90 mins from Buffalo. They got feet of snow on Sunday, we got 1/2 an inch.
