The Unthinkable

To be fair Cahill has deserved some of the criticism received in this thread. Even playing in his preferred role he hasn't performed to the levels he is capable of in a number of matches.

Most people are just saying we have asked a lot of Tim and due to our injuries been unable to give him a rest. Now we're starting to have some real options in midfield I hope he does get a game on the bench from time to time just to keep him fresh for the big Europa push. Would have thought Aussies would want that too with the World Cup at the end of the season.

Like others have said I'd like to see Billy given a bit of a go in the position so Tim can be rested. He is another one who has played too much football this year and not looked 100%

He pushed a couple of the right buttons at the right time, but his overall return was not great.

But Evertonians will always want guts over craft, weird really.

when times were fairly hard for Everton....one Man single handedly made me excited to watch us for a long time, even if it was for the fact he may throttle a player here, punch a player there.....always had his heart on his sleeve and his tattoo

couple of winners against United and Liverpool too...and people call Gosling a Hero for his one deflected goal

what a legend....for yes, all the wrong reasons perhaps

tim cahill will certainly be on a par with him when he finishes for me.....for all the right reasons

great display last night, I would never consider selling him....what a model professional. with players coming back from injury, he will probably be rested a bit, and may have to up his game to keep a spot which will only help him more....

This. Great sum up. Just sad I never was able to see big Dunc bit before my time.

Yes I am putting my head in the noose on this one. Is time to call time on Tim and wish him all the best as he makes his way back to Oz. Are we all living in hope apparently just like Moyes that Tim will suddenly find his scoring touch!! Lets face it, he has not been very inspiring this season....SO?

Is it time for him to make way??

hmmmm maybe just a lil premature

LEGEND has found his scoring boots.....well, head

You missed the 70 mins before that in the match thread were we all shouting for him to be taken of!

Goes to show - we all know nothing.

*Turns the lights out on the forum!

As long as he sneak in from deep he'll score goals for us. If he continue to play higher up than saha with a defender on his back, don't expect him to contribute much. He's not a center forward, never was, never will be.

Tim has a habit of making people look stupid.

He's that good, and sometimes, people forget that.

A few lessons learned here I reckon.
