Only if they are reminded of their dodgy soothsayer-ing abilities; they think too highly of themselves to let that kind of thing bother them... not very congruent with their sophisticated, pseudo-intellectual self-image for them to be constantly proved wrong.

I just don't get the English media at all...it's like they hate the idea of an underdog.

I think Cleverley may excel in the number 10 role, as he knows how to take a ball in step and look for passes in and around him. Conversely, I think Ross Barkley will do much better in a deeper role with the game ahead of him.

I suspect this will become a very popular opinion as the season progresses.
