We won't be seeing him compete for a while, in fact maybe not ever again. What he's done is so unbelievably stupid that I wouldn't have believed it had you told me yesterday he was going to do that, even for someone as off the wall as him.

Several people on that bus have been injured, one fighter even has serious cuts to his face and even had to go to hospital. That level of assault is a felony in the US. Women and innocent members of the press were on that bus as well, McGregor is going to be sued into oblivion now and be left with nothing. It's highly likely he'll be serve time in jail, the UFC will have to cut ties with (least for now) and his sponsors will surely all drop him. All for the sake playing up this character he's created for himself, you always know when a person is going to crash and burn when they become a mark for themselves and that has happened big time here with this bloke. To actually think he could just turn up with 20 lackeys, overpower security and attack people with weapons is the actions of a person with a God-complex.

McGregor's destroyed everything he's worked for, all for the sake of looking like a tough guy for a few minutes. Well done, enjoy your prison porridge and legal fees.

as much as I agree with you here, it will probly just enhance his career and 'notoriety'...

Maybe in a few years when he serves his time and settles his lawsuits, they'll always be a demand from paying fans to see him fight, but it's not as simple as that. Where is he going to get licensed? Will the US deport and ban him? (very probable scenario) Will the UFC have moved on so far by then they don't need him back? And he'll be so in the red because of these lawsuits he'll beg for fights and accept whatever he's given.

He's just destroyed his mini-empire no matter how you look at it. Eventually he'll probably be allowed to fight again, how else will he make a living, but his days of rolling around in private jets, buying luxury cars and rocking mink coats are over mate. He'll spend the rest of his fighting career living pay cheque to pay cheque, probably as a travelling circus act for fans who want to come watch him for a bit of nostalgia, similar to how Tyson did during his latter years. And even that's a while off, he's no doubt going to face several SERIOUS criminal charges first.

Absolute moron.

He isn’t getting jailed for that. No chance . It wouldn’t suprise me if he gets banned from the states though. But he’s getting sued that is without doubt .

He will be fighting khabib within 12 months this will be too much off a money maker for the UFC.

He won't be jailed or if he is you'll be talking weeks inside at most. Dana White will sanction McGregor v probably Khabib inside 2 years in Ireland, probably at Croke Park or something.

Mate he's committed a felony (or several possibly) so of course he's going to serve some jail time providing he hasn't managed to do a runner back to Ireland. He's guilty of trespassing (had no credentials to even be at the event), guilty of vandalising (smashed the window on the bus), guilty of GBH on the fighter who's got a serious cut on his face and all the other people on the bus who've been hurt can argue he's assaulted them as well. That's a lot of criminal charges, no lawyer on Earth is going to get a plea deal for just some community service and a fine for all that.

He's walked around with a God-complex for too long and no one reigned him in, this is ultimately what happens you allow and indulge a person like that. The flame-out is ugly.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks this is far too coincidental that this incident happened on wrestlemania weekend and UFC also have a massive event on wrestlemania weekend and they mention brock Lesnar returning

It's almost like Dana is annoyed that Ronda left to do WWE and now is trying to sabotage her and the wwe.

Think this is closer to the mark.

I think he's been ducking that Khabib fella for a few years. Remember first time I saw him - he legitimately frightened me; I'd duck him too.

do you fancy a friendly wager? £50 I’ll pay you if he goes to jail and you pay me £50 if he doesn’t?

He’s certainly got issues ahead but jail time won’t be one of them .

Johnny Cochran and friends had OJ Simpson walk scott free, mate, I’d never be surprised at anything a lawyer can do.

The current US president has recorded audio of him admitting frequent sexual assault, many women have directly accused him of the same and not so much as an criminal investigation is launched.

That's what power and money in the USA do. Expect a fine.

Doubt he'll see jail time unless the lad who got cut up has bad injuries, will defo see a load of lawsuits coming his way though and most likely a ban from fighting. Absolute nobhead
