Had to laugh when he said he could fight both Ferguson and Conor on the same night with an hour's rest. Maybe if he fought more than once a year and didn't keep pulling out of fighting Ferguson it would have come across better.

Barbosa was a good match up for him really, both Ferguson and Conor could give him problems but no way Conor lasts as long as Barbosa did if he keeps getting taken down.

Have you seen the fallout from the photographer from Jackson-Wink calling Cyborg a TS? Poor fight.

the only thing going for connor is I don't think people realise how good his TD defence is, and how well he can fight going backwards, which khabib pressures you to do, I don't think he wins, but I don't think he gets destroyed as bad as some people assume

yeah the non apology is just cringeworthy, her team were saying this and that and......shut up it was out of order haha

Wft. Why is no one talking about that Stipe fight. I was about to open my own UFC thread there. Gaaawwwd.

Stipe is so good even his post fight interviews are intimidating! He fought a great fight to be fair, I know he got caught a couple of times but to survive those and basically work NGannu down was quality.

How good was Cormier? He was even catching him on the feet. I finished Gustaffssons book recently and he was saying how strong Cormier is, I can't see anyone other than a non-USADA tested Jones beating him at LHW.

He ducked some of them Ford transits spectacularly. Too much hype there he didn't know what he was doing on the ground. In this day and age is shocking

Cormier has decent enough stand up, gave Jones trouble didn't he

Francis only been training MMA 4 years though, as he said he learnt more in that fight than the 4 years hes trained, he will be back and will win that belt at some point, think this shot just came too early for him, fantastic performance from Stipe though, even had the better on the feet

Cormier's dirty boxing is highly underrated, (yeah most people had him winning against JJ before getting caught)

did anyone catch Volkans soul leave his body after round 1, he looked like he was going to cry.....id be surprised if DC didn't 'break' him there, he will need a couple of cans to get his confidence back after that

I’ve heard a few UFC fans over the years calling boxing boring ( some fights are no doubt about it) and UFC being far superior, we’ll after watching that heavyweight fight and the undercard the other night I’d say the UFC has as much of a problem with dull boring fights as boxing does . 25 minutes of of one heavyweight wrestling another fella was tedious no matter what skill is involved.

I’ve seen some great UFC fights but some of that card the other night was like ale house bevvy heads rolling around at last orders .

It's going down at UFC 226 on July 7.

For the first time in the history of The Ultimate Fighter, two current champions, in two different weight classes, will serve as head coaches.

The UFC has tapped heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier as the next head coaches of the reality show, the UFC announced Friday. Filming is scheduled to commence next week.

Following the conclusion of the show, the duo are scheduled to fight at UFC 226 on July 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for Miocic’s heavyweight title. Should he win, Cormier would become just the second fighter in UFC history to be a champion in two different weight classes at the same time, and the fifth fighter in total to be a two-division UFC champion.

Both Miocic (18-2) and Cormier (20-1, 1 NC) were victorious last weekend at UFC 220 in Boston. Miocic defeated Francis Ngannou via unanimous decision in the main event, while Cormier beat Volkan Oezdemir via second-round TKO in the co-main.

Prior to moving down to light heavyweight, Cormier went a perfect 13-0 as a heavyweight, picking up wins over Frank Mir, Roy Nelson and Antonio Silva. He defeated Josh Barnett in 2012 to win the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix.

There’s a chance UFC 226 could feature three champion vs. champion fights. The UFC is considering booking flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson vs. bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw on the card, and earlier this week, women’s featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino pitched the idea of fighting women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes on July 7, as well.

The 27th North American edition of The Ultimate Fighter is scheduled to exclusively feature undefeated lightweight and featherweight fighters. The finals are set for July 6 in Las Vegas.

Miocic vs Cormier 'superfight' at UFC 226.

What say you, @Azzurri

This could be some card...

Boyyyyy.

This is DC trying to make sure his legacy isn’t “yeah but he lost to Jon Jones twice”. A win over Miocic puts him right up there in the GOAT conversation.

But I’m just not sure. Stipe is very, very impressive, and Cormier isn’t a natural heavyweight. Having said that, it’s definitely possible. What d’you reckon?

Stipe for me, if it happens obv.

Interesting one though and for me, the first like real must-see fight in months .Makes sense for both because their divisions are so bare. So why not, yenno.

anyone watch 222?

Brian Ortega is the reallll deal

poor Frankie nearly went into orbit

He was finished as soon as that first elbow cracked him. Ortega followed it nicely, great win.

I was made up for Arlovski getting the win. Funny him wanting another crack at the title, I can't see that happening but good luck to him. I met him when he was the Champ and he was sound to be fair.

Anyone else get uncomfortable seeing Cyborg beat up of the Russian? Clearly outmatched given she was fighting up a weight class, making her UFC debut and was up against Cyborg. She actually looked like a female as well which is becoming increasingly rare in WMMA. Fair play to her for having a go, but when she was getting pumelled I felt it could have been stopped quicker.

yeah not great watching cyborg maul people, don't think Holm gets the credit she deserves going toe to toe

I almost thought there was a dodgy knee as part of the whole fight ending sequence, but none of the replays showed that far back, and I dunno if it was just me being so tired I was seeing things (will have to watch the whole round back)

yeah, ortegas elbow was the blow, but credit to Frankie he was making it difficult to finish, I think only because Ortega is so calm he was able to take his time, push him off, to get the wind up for the uppercut, anyone else would have ended up pressed into the cage there while Frankie recovered
