Maia will be champ soon atleast. I didnt thibk it was possible to be more dissapointed then when it was announce khabib was off the card but that main event found away to make that happen. Good night of fights overall. Thou the main event was one of the worst fights ive seen
Seen hunt posting that he broke a tibia early, guessing that was when his shin got split. Thibk hunt does look like he has lost interest thou.
Pretty stoked for kelly, was a wierd fight evans looked in great physical nick but was so timid and only throwing in singles.

not even kidding mate fell akip about 0.20 into round 1 and woke up at 4.15 of round 5! was made up when they showed the highlights and i missed nothing
Love watching Wonderboy. Most do. But the reality is that in 2 fights, I don't recall one moment in either where he had Woodley looking in trouble. At least you can say in this fight Woodley had Wonderboy in trouble twice. I wouldn't like to see a champion lose a belt in either of the two fights.

Main event was terrible considering the hype. So disappointed. Really put a downer on what was otherwise a great card.
Maia and Masvidal just confirmed on the MMA Hour they're still fighting on UFC 211. Another obstacle for Maia.
I really wanted Woodley vs Maia to happen next but that should still be an interesting fight.

It is a shame, considering BJJ made the sport what it is today, but when the new breed of casuals are going "god why are they just rolling round on the floor" without any knowledge of the highly skilled art they are watching, what can you do!
Khabib is probably the most exciting ground fighter (for entertainment purposes, rag dolling people) and we all know how that just turned out

People used to moan about GSP being so dominant on the ground but at as well as being so technical he was also good on the feet. I just don't get the love in for khabib, I'd rather watch Maia in terms of pure ground fighters at least he tries to finish his fights. WW isn't the division it once was.
Why isn't Jacare fighting Yoel? Disappointing that, they've got unfinished business. If Yoel sits out and just waits for Bisping then I think that says a lot about his character. He's hardly the most active fighter. Maybe he could welcome Rockhold back. That'd make sense with the winner challenging for the title.

yeah to be honest mate im not fan of khabib, actually had Tony to win catching him in a sub when he tried to advance his position, I just meant hes one of the only primarily ground fighters who people like to watch
yeah, if yoel sits out now and doesn't re-run the jacare fight back ive lost respect (to be honest I don't respect him much anyway, I would hardly say a lucky knee landing so viciously is deserving of a title shot, especially when you look at the Maia at WW, what has that guy gotta do to get a shot)
