90% of my everton related news and info I get from here. For a start here I know there will be some sorting of the wheat from the chaff here. But I do wish there was left 'chaff' in the serious transfer thread..

That's what you get when you stop reading the other thread since I was banned. I've missed this whole thread.

Have another which is only links. Any links are allowed except twitter but don't duplicate links.
Have one thread for normal transfer discussions and you can post anything.

No accusations of censorship and no problems scanning. If it's a link you believe is accurate you can drop into the 2nd thread to see what is being said.

It's not that difficult and no need for moderation or accusations of censorship.

I had posted 199 times in the 1st transfer thread and MoutsGoat has posted 159.
We both posted 200 times in the 2nd.

Not bad when you consider when I post something all you lot jump on me and I'm forced to defend my position.

I think the 2 threads option is ace.... but why can't people understand the difference ? and why do they get all offended if somebody reminds them not to clog it up with what could be decent conversation in the right thread. It's really not hard to differentiate .

it's a difficult balance.

Obviously, if no one ever dropped a reminder, people might post anything and everything in there.

Problem is, in a lot of cases, often the "jarg" rumour type posts would literally be one post if left alone, but degenerate into a massive conversation/argument, which does way more damage than the original post.

I have no idea what the solution is btw, just an observation
