July 2011 - Season ticket sales at a low, no new signings on the horizon, mumblings that fans are becoming very unhappy
August 2011 - No new signings as the season starts, crowd getting restless and protest organised for a home game
October 2011 - James McFadden re-signs, crowds are falling and another protest as been organised for an upcoming home match
All of the above are followed by either a press release or a rumour that the club is to be sold to be keep the fans at bay. I personally don't believe this takeover will happen; Everton, and Ian Ross, are so predictable with these press releases its unreal.
I think there is a lot more to the Everton Board than we think, and in particular a Shadow Director (i.e. Philip Green) is running the club with BK being the face. I find it difficult that nobody wants to invest in the club with the potential, fanbase etc.
Can't believe some Evertonians are getting their hopes up over this!
Surely one thing you should come to know as an Everton fan is never hope for anything!
Would be nice if it was true and happened in time for January!
Won't believe it till we do a 'blackburn' type ad for new houses or whatever these peeps are into!
My head is telling me that the doubters on here are probably right. However it does seem that there is a bit more substance to this than there has been to previous rumours.
If it was a case of the board trying to keep the fans at bay, surely even they would realise that once people realised that the take over wasn't happening, it would just make things even worse for them.
Actually, he's only coming over to watch spuds, so don't worry. The home games are just a cover"US-Based Planet Hollywood magnate Earl is a rare presence at games due to work commitments across the Atlantic, but is believed to try and make the journey for home fixtures against United and Liverpool, along with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane."
He's believed to try and make the journey is he, that makes sense. Good writing as per from Greg.

I'm just not sure where the potential to make money is for a potential investor. The amount they'd have to spend to guarantee champions league football for a period long enough to turn it into an overall profit is massive. The real money for an investor is in getting your championship teams into the premiership and reaping the rewards financially..
