Well we have had a statement from the owners of Rovers denying the story saying they haven't been in talks with anyone, I'm just waiting for Ross to release a statement tomorrow dismissing the speculation with us. This is Everton remember, we don't get luck like a mega rich arab wanting to buy us!!!!!
No denial will be forthcoming until after Saturday at the earliest.

Venkatesh is lying. He knows full well that if Rovers fans knew Venky's had the chance to sell the club to billionaires and opted not to they would become public enemy number one. The Qatari group have been to India and met with Mrs Desai. She wanted to sell, and they were close to selling, until Jerome Anderson intervened and in a four hour phone call to Balaji Rao got the entire thing nixed. This will not be made public - Venky's do not think the fans need to know the truth, they never have.
I have no idea if Everton have been contacted officially or whether the Qatari's have only spoken with advisors, but an approach is forthcoming. The only question is whether the Qatari group will match your board's valuation of the club.

For a man that has achieved nothing in close to 15 years , while I've watched us slip and slip further , people now regard our once respected club as being on the same level as Charlton Athletic , I find it very difficult to be anything but Anti Kenwright and the longer he's there the further and further away from success we'll be , it's not about jumping into bed with anyone but for every Thakstin Sinawatwra you get a Sheik Monsour , for every Tom Hicks and George Gillette you get a John Henry , it's about getting it right , every other club has tried , some for the better , some for the worse but one things for sure if Moyes Leaves Everton we'll be in **** street, he may be frustrating with his tactics but he knows how to get results , would Dave Jones or Peter Reid do the same ??? Because with our finances now that's the level we'd be looking at
No problem. I'm just passing along info I've been given by somebody I trust. The Rovers stuff comes from numerous people and I have full faith in it, the Everton stuff comes from one source. He doesn't get things wrong (could be because he rarely talks to me unless it's concerning Rovers!) and is convinced the Qataris have given up on Blackburn and are going to go for Everton. The only obstacle, apparently, is that neither the Qatari group nor the Everton board are particularly interested in negotiation. There's a set figure - if it's met, it's met. If not... no sale.

....And whether any new owner is prepared to fund or resolve the stadia issue, reduce our debt and fund player acquisition. In this context the price for the club is a minor issue which everyone seems to forget.
If they can't afford, are unwilling to pay for the club, it puts a big question mark about their other intentions.
But as LCAB says, we are all spitting in the wind and in the face of no real news, I urge the mods to close this thread. Its turning out to be an adjunct to the "Board" thread and a sale won't happen til well after the festive period.
I don't want a change of the guard, I want people who will move the club forward.
