Just to clarify for those still not getting it about Robles, yes he played for Wigan last season but we didn't sign him from Wigan, he was under contract to Atletico Madrid who sold him to us so the reality is we only signed 2 players from Wigan not 3 ok?

Hes played twice for Atlético Madrid and 8 times for Wigan.

Can't remember who it was but someone posted a list of where our 80s league winneres were signed from (Burnley, Dunfermline etc) which made the pint beautifully.

I think people are being a bit harsh with the "we could have done better with £5 mill than Kone". For a 10+ goal a season Premier League striker with pace £5 million ain't bad considering some of the silly money being spent by other clubs.

I am feeling better about McCarthy after reading Bong's analysis. Way more into the idea closer to 10m than 15-20m though of course.
