Whatever gets your head down , old huge fod' , lad .
Lies , damn lies and statistics , eh ???
I know for a FACT that old elephant man was already pushing for a move well before the Arsenal game . He spat the dummy at the airport , pre U.S. tour .
No matter what he says , WE KNOW THE TRUTH .
Fuk off , scare the kids . As Il Duce said , we've moved on , with a better squad of people who actually want to be there .

NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM .

Spot on LCB I heard the same story. the guy is a belter and a half, it taken months for him to come up with that load of bollox. What hurt me most was his confusion between the words ambition and money.....................................MY CLUB HAS NEVER ONCE LACKED AMBITION UNDER DAVID MOYES AND NEVER WILL................................Mr Lescott you are a t-u-r-d:@:@:@

I understand the level of il feeling. But you have to remember that the financial situation of Everton corodes every relationship (or has the potential to). I dont blame Moyes for his actions or Lescott, ultimately, for his. They're acting within the parameters of what's possible at the club. The problem is at the top of the food chain. I think we all know that deep down. That's why even when the Judas word is used in these situations everyone knows, to one degree or another, they're using it in an act of irony as much as hostility.

That's the Davek viewpoint mate, which at some stage (and we love you for it) is going to have an angle against the club.

The facts remain with this:

1 - Moyes didnt want to sell and the club backed him.
2 - Lescott acted like a petchulant child making his position untenable and therefore forcing the sale.
3 - Moyes played the media game to gain an additional nine million from the first bid.
4 - Lescott is not worth anywhere near that amount of money and we've improved our team/squad thanks to that money.
5 - Kenwright is alright, but as blues were massive snides.

Well said Mr Azul, my thoughts in print lad (y)

Joleon Lescott played a major part in this football club not falling behind this summer, he gave Everton and David Moyes the opportunity to go out and rebuild a squad that looked dead on it's feet.

For that alone, I thank him. In the end I think it was all for the best, Joleon can have his crack at the big time and hopefully, Everton football club will continue to get better and better.

It was unintentional that he helped out though, on his part it was selfish actions handing in a transfer request on the eve of the season.

But I suppose the big Frenchman came in, and I just love him.

Reading too much into it.
We don't know the exact details of what happened, and probably never will unless we had both Lescott and Moyes on a lie detector.
Best to move on now and try to find positives from it.

1 - Moyes didnt want to sell and the club backed him. In Public they backed him, behind the scenes they probably did cartwheels.
2 - Lescott acted like a petchulant child making his position untenable and therefore forcing the sale. Massive Fod.
3 - Moyes played the media game to gain an additional nine million from the first bid. SunTanBob said that was Bill.
4 - Lescott is not worth anywhere near that amount of money and we've improved our team/squad thanks to that money. Agreed
5 - Kenwright is alright, but as blues were massive snides. Kenwrong is a massive Barrymore weapon.

Hope that helps.

Moyes stated when it was done and dusted he'd have liked to have sorted it out earlier in the summer, cursing City for not doing what Real Madrid did with Ronanldo. Moyes would have known he had nothing to play with outside of sell to buy. I think his spat with Elstone underlines that.
2 - Lescott acted like a petchulant child making his position untenable and therefore forcing the sale.
3 - Moyes played the media game to gain an additional nine million from the first bid.
I agree. He played it from first to last. Lescott knew what the Everton Way was and hoped against hope he wouldn't have to put in a transfer request before City came up with the right number. Cynical all round.

I don't know, I have a feeling Mr Lescott is very disappointed how his Everton career ended. I think he expected the manager to accept his wishes earlier on in the transfer window and that wasn't the case.

He was put in a situation where he had to push for a transfer request just to get his dream move. I think it was very clear from early on in the summer that Lescott wanted out.

I think there are two sides to every story, I don't agree with everything Lescott did but I do believe he wanted to go out quietly and respectfully. Sadly, for the club and Lescott, it didn't work out like that. We had to buy late and he is now a hate figure.
