IVe known Sammy for over 20 years. A couple of things:

- he is a good coach and well respected by the players. He doesn’t take any crap and is a big leave your ego at the door” fan. He’s won more than most players but never mentions it. Not an Aldridge type at all.

- he was always been focussed on the job he has and been loyal to the club employing him.

He supports the club he played for but that has never stopped him trying and sometimes succeeding in plotting their downfall in games. Allardyce trusts him.

At the Derby he will want to win as much as anyone on this site.

If he gets these cowards playing indont care tbh. I never liked him as a player, but he
Has rarely been out of work as a coach. I genuinely think if Sam has the job, we just sit back and let him get on with it. I do not belive any of them will still be here at the start of the next season. This appointment is to pull us away from the abyss. My nephew is gutted thatbifnthey do pull us up, that his rs mates will say we needed a Liverpool,player to do it. But I used to take great delight in turning that taunt back against them when we had the likes of Peter Reid, Sheedy, Waggy etc. All of whom were lifelong reds.

At th ene of the day, we cannot contune as we are. One thing is certain, Sam will sort our defence out and we will stop letting in four or five every time we play. If he cant do it by January with the current squad, i expect him to get in some good solid defenders in january.
