I don't like what I know about Fat Sam, I don't like what I know about Sammy Lee, Shakespeare appeared to have ousted Ranieri. I don't want any of them at Everton. Fact is, he's with us now, so like or loath him, as long as he's doing what's right for the blues, he's got my backing.

I would rather employ someone decent but has links to them than some of our ex-players who haven't won a jot. Our principles have got us nowhere in the last 20 years.

As much as I dislike that lot they have it coached into them that they are the best in world which enables them to overcome problems, we have it coached into our players that we are punching above our weight and it's OK as long as we try. Lets hope if nothing else this appointment starts to change that mindset.

He is a professional. As are all players, manager and coaches. None of them worry about who they play for. If they are the right quality I don’t care who they are or who they played for.
