It works the other way don't forget, if someone like Paul Bracewell, Trevor Steven, Graeme Sharp etc joined Liverpool's coaching staff I wouldn't be happy.

I don't understand cos with Beardsley, McMahon, Barmby it was somehow different. This is a long-term proper Red, and how would it be even if 'adopted blues' joined them. Madness!
We didn't even contemplate for a second Brendan Rodgers, Rafael Benitez and would not consider any transfers, even though they have sensible Left back options, or Benteke type transfers - so why Sammy Lee? There should be something sacred in life. Why can't he get some good younger assistant managers in as his assistants? And why Craig Shakespeare?

IVe known Sammy for over 20 years. A couple of things:

- he is a good coach and well respected by the players. He doesn’t take any crap and is a big leave your ego at the door” fan. He’s won more than most players but never mentions it. Not an Aldridge type at all.

- he was always been focussed on the job he has and been loyal to the club employing him.

He supports the club he played for but that has never stopped him trying and sometimes succeeding in plotting their downfall in games. Allardyce trusts him.

At the Derby he will want to win as much as anyone on this site.

Whatever about Moshiri not knowing what appointing the piss drinker as a coach would do to the fans then sure Blue Bill should have told Moshiri that it was unacceptable

If he makes us a fitter, better team who cares where he's from or what he looks like. Besides he could only be here for a year with Sam..And then we get to sack them.

Hopefully they are all sacked at the seasons end and we get a manager and backroom staff befitting our club
