The sale of Fellaini

I watched on TV and from what I saw he made a bad pass, the last in a long line of them and in pure frustration he turned away looked up to the sky frustrated with himself and the team. I think he thought they had cleared the ball, not that it was close to him that he could of challanged again...

He clearly when realising started to run again, before receiving a massive chorus of boo's which clearly affected him and was obviously shocked to hear it.

IMO what he did was out of pure frustration as opposed to "I don't give a **** about Everton".
Not arguing the right and wrong about it but I think some are over exaggerating a little.

You're obviously in David Moyes cult. Barkley will be quality.

The frustration with Fellaini has been building for a long time. It wasn't just one bad pass. He hasn't looked interested for weeks. Too many 'I'm flattered by Chelsea's interest' comments. Worst kept secret in football that him & his wife have been looking for a new house in London. I was there, it was right in front of me. He swore at the fans in the Paddock, then when Mirallas tried to calm him down, he shoved Mirallas away, and Mirallas acted like, "WTF?!" Moyes immediately hauled him off.

Bored of the 'don't boo your own players' brigade. We are Everton Football Club, not Bradford City, applauding a heavy defeat. We are one of the biggest clubs in the history of football in this country. When players aren't performing, fans who pay a fortune to watch the game are entitled to give their opinion. 'Support' isn't mindless backing, any old going-through-motions-will-do.

Too much uncertainty at Everton. Moyes has defended the board for too long and been their human shield for too long. He has been massively hampered by the board's inability to support him, yet because he gets paid £70k a week, he never speaks out and always backs them publicly. It's not good enough. It's not honest. He's not being honest with the fans. We all know he's going, the whole situation is an absolute farce.

This isn't just a blip, this is the culmination of many things. Are we 6th in the league? Yes, but that won't be for long. It's where we could have been that is the biggest tragedy. Best start to a season in many many years, yet we never ever build on a position of strength. Too small a squad is now knackered, aging, directionless. A team full of aging 'good pros' and teachers pets. No passion, no drive, no desire. Outfought and thrashed by a bottom 3 team with the worst record for conceding goals in the league.

Dave you're missing the point.

However good he has been for us is irrelevant. If Zidane put that much effort in he'd deserve to be booed off.

Yeah this. For me its completly clear that thats what happened. He didn't turn his back as the ball was coming to him in a "i can't be arsed to play that ball" kind of way.

He turned his back out of sheer frustration and anger at his and the teams poor performance. Then when he realised the ball was coming back his way reacted and played on.

After that he carried on running, made a clearance from the edge of our box and tracked on of their players as they made a run. Not bad for a player who can't be arsed.

To be honest he's always had a rather laid back style, doesn't means he doesnt care or put effort in.

All this talk of never playing him again is complete over reaction.

All this makes it so much easier for the board to sell him anyway, if the crowd wants him gone then no backlash on them.

I've always been in the camp that feels it hampers our football having a big man up front and I think we can get a squad with the ludicrous fees being talked about. Depends who the manager is - if it's still moyes then a lot of it will go on a defensive midfielder who can play as a target man (as I still believe thats what leroy fer was being signed for)

Anyone see Hazard turn his back on the play then?

Reckon we could get him on the cheap when Chelsea get rid of him for not being arsed.

It must be a Belgian thing.

What is certain is that the failure to refresh the squad in January has cost us big time. We're not going to make the Champions League and qualifying for the Europa would quite possibly send us into a relegation battle next year if we're relying on the same players week in week out.

Fellaini's had his head turned. Moyes has had enough. Both look to be off in the summer. Maybe its time Kenwright grew some bollocks and told Moyes to sign a contract this week or resign immediately. At least then the players who aren't engineering a move away might start to play for a manager who isn't doing something very similar.
