I was thinking the exact same until I realised

This was easier written "do it like that moneyball film".Honestly I think maybe a new club approach for a club similar size to Everton is simply to be a leech on a larger clubs erraticism. I look at the biggest sides in the country and there seems to be a lot of unrest, overspending and just broadly overcompensation in near every facet of decision making. Why United think they are the club to take the 70+ million Sesko risk is beyond me. He is an unfinished article, that is a steep outlay, and you just ignore the amount of noise all those priors invite on the player himself when suiting up for United.
But if its Chelsea's revolving door transfer policy or the biggest sides overspending, if I was Moyes and Kinnear I am creating a tracker on players of interest who are caught in the chaos of these massive clubs and whose price is affected because so. Hojlund, Mctominay, KDH transfer to us, Mainoo out of favor (although post Amorim will see), these clubs noise are sabotaging their own assets I think to massive degrees to the point of creating value. The chances Sesko ends up ion the market in a year or 2 for 35/40 million is at least a 50/50 proposition. A percentage and possibility prior to him even making the move.
This also extends internationally. I look at maybe AC Milan and despite their place in the table I think they have a tendency of depreciating player evaluations prematurely simply because of their volatility. Juve also to a degree. I think Santi Gimenez is maybe not a 40 million dollar striker but at 20/25 million that becomes very interesting.
